A host of new features for Duke Nukem 3D
The Duke Nukem: Alien Armageddon mod is a free, fan-made mod for Duke Nukem 3D. It brings new play areas, new enemies, new weapons and even a new playable character to enhance the game.
Like the Duke Nukem 3D - Legacy Edition Mod, this is an add-on for the original game rather than an enhanced re-release like Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour. So, you need to own Duke Nukem 3D first.
New episodes for Duke Nukem 3D
Even if you have played all the way through Duke Nukem 3D, you will find that the Alien Armageddon mod has plenty to add. It includes a set of all-new episodes where Duke goes into battle against alien invaders and space gladiators. Meanwhile, the original episodes of Duke Nukem 2D receive new cutscenes and other additions.
Meet Bombshell
One of the most notable additions made by the Alien Armageddon mod is the presence of a second playable character: Bombshell. Originating as an unused character in Duke Nukem Forever, Bombshell is a scantily-clad, gun-toting babe who fits right in with the game's action-movie aesthetic. She has her own set of weapons, including the Rolly Turret and Incinerator.
A variety of new features
With Alien Armagaddeon installed, you can expect to face new enemies like the Terminator-inspired Dukinator, the mutated Army Ant and various bosses. You will also be given new weapons, along with a range of miscellaneous features: bubbles that provide oxygen underwater, "slime babes" who can be rescued, and even flushable toilets.
Designed with fans in mind
Although the Duke Nukem: Alien Armageddon mod is unofficial, it is designed to blend seamlessly into Duke Nukem's world. Some of the enemy designs are, like Bombshell, based on unused features from the official games, while the series' trademark ultraviolence and gross-out humor are all present and correct.
